I wish you wouldn't stare at me like that, Rebecca.
I'm sorry, Kev---I mean Kerrie. It's just that you're so....different
since you got sick.
I know. To be
honest with you, sometimes I even find myself just
standing in front of a mirror looking at the new me. This hasn't
been a very good last couple months for me, you know.
I'm sure, Kerrie.
All that you went through had to be very hard on
you. It's been
hard on all of us, even Mom and Dad. Are
you getting
used to your new body yet?
Yeah, pretty much.
It'll just take time.
Backstory: The girl you see here wasn't always a
girl. Up until the
football game
between West High and Central Metro, this girl was
a boy named Kevin
Dresser. That's right, "the Kevin
Dresser," first
string tailback for
Central Metro High. Second Team All
State last
year, and a sure
bet to be named to the First Team this year.
It
was about midway
through the third quarter of the game, with
Central holding a
15-14 lead when Kevin had become sick and went
down on the field. He was helped to the bench by Coach Maxwell
and a couple
players. And that was the last football
Kevin would ever
play. It took the doctors almost two weeks to
determine exactly
what the problem
was. Only after sending numerous vials
of Kevin's
blood to the CDC
down in Atlanta was a positive diagnosis made.
Kevin had the TG
Flu Virus.
Kevin and his
family took the news pretty hard. The
budding football
career was now
gone, only to be replaced by two budding breasts.
It's been a couple
months since then, and Kevin, or Kerrie, is home
from the
hospital. Kerrie still isn't feeling
100% right, but things get
better by the
day. She has accepted her new life, and
she really has
to rely on Rebecca
to help her with a lot of things now.
There is just
so much to learn
when you suddenly find yourself a girl.
Hey, sis! I'm
going out with Andy tonight. He wanted
me to ask if
you wanted to come along and go on a double date with Ted
Mark?
With Ted? A
date? I don't know, Rebecca. I guess I do need to start
doing that don't I?
Sure, I'll go. Can I borrow your
pink sweater?
Sure, Kerrie. No
problem. And yes, you do need to get out
of this
house, girl. You can't hide in here all the time. Just a
warning though.
Ted can get a little aggressive, so don't let him go too
far. I don't
think you’re ready to be a mommy yet.

Perfect!
